What should I expect when starting therapy?

I typically like to meet weekly for the first month to establish a solid framework for our continued work together. After that we can move to a schedule that fits best. I also understand time and finances can be factors in scheduling, so we can discuss this in our initial session to find a schedule that works for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer consultations?

Yes! I offer free 15 minute consultations to help you (and I) determine if we'd be a good fit together.
Do you accept insurance?
And what is Fee for Service?

Absolutely! I accept Aetna, BCBS, Health Partners, most of Optum/UHG providers.

I typically charge out of pocket or fee for service with couples therapy primarily due to insurance not covering couples therapy sessions. I do offer sliding scale for couples therapy if needed. Insurance can be an option if paid out of pocket at time of session and I can submit to insurance to go towards your deductable. Please ask for more details.
What services do you offer?

I offer partial and full session lengths.
Additionally, I provide EMDR, Discernment Counseling, and LADC specializations. I also offer between 4 hours to multi day sessions (Intensives) for a more targeted approach to a crisis situation.
How long is a session?

Sessions run 55 minutes.

Why me? What makes me different?
My goal with every client is to help them feel seen, safe, and heard. I accomplish this through a non-judgemental approach and strive to listen first. I am also a relational therapist, because I believe it feels less scripted and robotic to have a therapist who is also a fellow hum like you. I also believe being relational builds connection which helps in the therapeutic process towards change.
